I’ve been a photographer since the age of 7, but I really began shooting people (with my camera) for an honest-to-goodness living once I moved to Montana 10 years ago, back in 1999. For the most part, I built my business as the antithesis of indoor studio portraiture offering a prime mountain-top location with breathtaking 360 degree views of three mountain ranges…the Bridgers, the Crazies and the Absarokas as my backdrop. Fine Art Portraiture of babies, children and families…au naturel.
Feeling the urge to branch out in offering Children’s as well as Senior Urban Sessions, I took to the streets of Bozeman last month for an afternoon of location scouting with my girlfriend and hairstylist, LieAnn of Salon Nuvo. Having lived on the East Side upon first moving to Bozeman from Phoenix, LieAnn turned me on to the coolest, grungiest urban location ever…The Bozeman Stockyard.

The Stockyard and its environs offer a multitude of backdrops, perfect for my upcoming “Party of Five” Senior Portrait Session for a fabulous and fun-loving group of Class of 2010 Seniors from Bozeman High. It’s a whole new world for me, and I’m excited!!!
